Well, I think the claim is exaggerated. I do not think there’s much evidence for human activity disrupting or destroying the biosphere, let alone “the planet Earth”. The principal damage that human activity will cause is to human beings and human civilization, primarily by disrupting economies, agriculture, and business supply chains.
